GO to the File Menu in the SchoolWise Desktop program and Click on Import Data - Import Student & Staff Photos...

As seen below:

Step 1 (Click on the ... button to choose the folder that the actual pictures are located in. Then choose what format the pictures are saved as. Then click on the Next button to proceed.

Step 2 (Click on the ... button to choose the folder that contains the photo-to-student map file. Then choose which position each field is in (the default that loads is for Lifetouch photos).

If you open your map file you can tell the positions (example below) Each position in the file should be separated by a comma. In the example below you see the ID in Position 1 (before the comma) and the filename in Position 2 (highlighted yellow - after the comma. Click Next when you are ready to proceed.

Step 3 (Click on the ... Preview button to pull in an example photo. This will help you to determine cropping. As seen in the example below there is some white space around Ruger's ID photo.

You can play with the cropping numbers and click on Tab to see your adjustments. In this case I set the Top to 0 and the bottom to 140 and there is no more white space around the photo. Now I am ready to Click Next and proceed with the import. All photos will be cropped in the same way. (See example below:)

Click Next when ready. Then choose Start Importing to begin the photo import.

Once the import is complete, SchoolWise will display a logfile with the results that looks like this one:

Student photos can also be manually updated (one at a time) by Right Clicking on the photo area in the Student Form and choosing Update Photo.

Choose the new photo that you want to replace the existing one with then click on Import.

Adjust the cropping then click Ok when you are ready.
