To import student emails you need a 2 column CSV file. It's essentially a text file that has the following structure (example file located below):

stuID,stuEmail

0001,email0001@school.com

0002,email0002@school.com

0002,email0003@school.com

Then you would use the 'Import Student Email Addresses from CSV' located in the Report Explorer.
