The alert system will work its way down the list of phone numbers in the household and call numbers with the alert checkbox checked and send texts messages to those with the Text checkbox checked. Voice calls will stop as soon as it reaches a telephone number that is answered by a human or an answering device.

The same process will occur for an individual parent and/or extended contact. In addition, email alerts and email newsletters will be sent to those who have those checkboxes checked. By setting the order of telephone number vertically you can control the order of the voice calls. Emails go to one or both of the populated emails as shown above.
