To create a custom export using an SQL query, please use the following export:

When you run the export, choose your Save Location, File Name, and Export Type. Normally you will want to leave the Export Type set to the default 'Excel Spreadsheet' option.

After you click the 'Export' button, a window will pop up asking for the SQL query. Contact James@SchoolWise.com to request one to be created for you.

Copy & paste the text of the SQL query that was provided by SchoolWise support. This can be done by:

1) Opening the provided text file.

The next steps can be performed multiple ways. You can use right-click and select the option, use the Edit menu and select the same option, or use a keyboard shortcut.

2) Select All - CTRL + A

3) Copy - CTRL + C

4) Paste - CTRL + V

Click the red X to close the box and select 'Yes' to save it.

This final message will allow you to open the file directly so you can verify the data or locate the file in Windows Explorer.
