The Removal to Interim Alternative Setting Reason Code (18.17) can be populated by using the 'Removal to Alt Setting' Action. The Action Date must match the Discipline Incident Date (18.14). If this Action does not exist, please contact James@SchoolWise.com to get it set up.
The following determines when to use this Action.
1) If Removal to Interim Alternative Setting Reason Code (18.17) is populated and not equal to "No Interim Removal", then Incident Disciplinary Action Duration Days (19.16) must be less than or equal to 45
2) If Student Offense Code (20.14) is either:
- '100' - 48915(c)(1) - Possession, Sale, or Furnishing of a Firearm
- '103' - 48915(c)(2) - Brandishing a Knife
- '105' - 48915(c)(5) - Possession of an Explosive
- '200' - 48915(c)(3) - Sale of Controlled Substance
- '400' - 48915(c)(4) - Sexual Battery
- '401' - 48915(c)(4) - Sexual Assault
- '500' - 48915(a)(1) - Caused Physical Injury
- '503' - 48915(a)(5) - Committed Assault or Battery on a School Employee
- '505' - 48900.3 - Committed an act of Hate Violence
- '600' - 48900(e) - Robbery or Extortion
then Removal to Interim Alternative Setting Reason Code (18.17) must be populated
3) If Incident Disciplinary Action Taken Code (19.14) = 300 (no suspension or expulsion) then Removal to Interim Alternative Setting Reason Code (18.17) must either not be populated or be equal to "No Interim Removal"
