for the first time brings up a message saying the following:
The gradebook won't even open until you have established at least one grading category like, Tests, Homework, Classwork, etc. Click the New Category button
Create categories like Tests, Homework, Classwork, etc.
Best Practices for Most Teachers
Check Use Weighted Categories and then add all of the categories you use for grading. After you create a few categories and check Use Weighted Categories you can adjust the weights. Suggestion: Have the weights add up to 100 it makes checking your calculations much easier.
