The Online Gradebook uses assignment scores to determine a student average. It is an in-progress calculation and can often be confused with report card marks. The report 'Progress Report With Missing Assignments' then uses that student average. The Windows desktop SchoolWise has reports located in the 'Gradebook' category of the Report Explorer that uses these values.  If teachers want a Gradebook 'progress' report, they need to add assignments for the class so that a student average is created.

At the end of a marking period, the student average can be copied to the corresponding report card field. That value is synced to the Windows desktop SchoolWise and is located on the Student Mark tab. The reports located in the 'Grading - Marks' category of the Report Explorer can be used to display 'Progress Report' and 'Report Cards' based on those synced end-of-marking period student averages.
